Uljanik Shipyard is one of the partners of the RAMSSES project from the EC Horizon2020 financing cycle.
Representatives of Uljanik Shipyard participated at an introductory meeting in Hamburg last weekend, where the project elements and their implementation, as well as the role of all partners in the forthcoming co-operation, were agreed upon. RAMSSES started on June 1, 2017 and will last for four years. Out of a total of 36 partners, members of the project consortium include the shipyards Meyer Werft, STX France, Fincantieri, DAMEN and Meyer Turku, and the classification company BV and Airborne Composite and Becker Marine.

The project is designed for the development of innovative solutions with the use of innovative materials (special steels, aluminum, composite materials, etc.) on several types of ships: passenger, offshore, naval, research, working and RO-RO ships.
The project is divided into 21 working units and Uljanik Shipyard is the head of the work unit 14, i.e. application of composite materials on RO-RO ships, whose main objective is to continue with innovations in that area, respectively to improve the solutions with YARD513 (decks 10, 11 and 12).
